Tell us a bit about you and we'll follow up.

Whether you're chasing your first stripe or training for competition, Lone Wolf BJJ Academy's adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program is built for real growth. Led by Head Instructor Don Stoner — a 2nd-degree Black Belt under Rigan Machado and Fabiano Scherner with 30+ years of experience — our classes combine technical instruction with a supportive, small-town gym atmosphere. Whether you're interested in self-defense, stress relief, competition, or just getting in great shape, our BJJ classes are open to everyone, all ages and backgrounds welcome.

Don's competition résumé speaks for itself: 2011 IBJJF Worlds Brown Belt No-Gi Bronze medalist, 7x Submission Underground Champion (UFC Fight Pass), and 5x NAGA Expert Division Champion, still actively competing in IBJJF, NAGA, and Grappling Industries events.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be in shape to start BJJ?
No — Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a great way to get in shape. Classes are structured for all fitness levels, and technique matters more than raw athleticism.
What should I wear to my first class?
Wear athletic clothing (shorts/t-shirt) for your first visit. Once you continue training, you'll need a gi (uniform) — ask our staff for guidance on sizing.
Is BJJ good for self-defense?
Yes. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is one of the most effective self-defense systems because it teaches control and submissions that don't rely on size or strength.
Can I compete if I want to?
Absolutely. Students interested in competing can join our Adult Competition Team for focused tournament preparation.
